Update time!

Time again to fill everyone in on what's going on around here! I was fussing the other night and mommy was determined not to give me my bottle (she says it's a habit and I'm really not hungry...how does she know?). Well lucky me...daddy didn't feel good and we had to take him to the emergency room so mommy HAD to give me my bottle so I would cooperate! It turns out daddy had appendicitis (is that how you spell it? mommy won't tell me, she says I have to learn to think on my own...I don't think she knows either). He had surgery a few hours later and came home from the hospital Wednesday. It's kind of funny to see him hobbling around here and mommy running around trying to take care of everyone! But daddy is healing up pretty quickly and is already starting to pull his weight around the house again (that's what mommy said).

Mommy wanted me to tell you all about the house...the workers are almost finished. They have some touch up work to do (daddy says they do more rework than anyone he's ever seen) but should be done with that on Monday. Mommy put pictures up here for you to see. I bet your wondering what all those bricks and gravel are. Well, you see daddy was going to build a new patio and he had all this material delivered to the house. After his first day of hauling gravel to the back yard and working really hard is when he went in the hospital. Mommy says if he didn't want to build the patio, all he had to do was say so. So while daddy is healing, the neighbors will have to be patient and hopefully not complain about all of the stuff in the front yard. You might be wondering why mommy doesn't volunteer to help...each brick weighs about 75 lbs and mommy says she's not that strong. It will be awhile before we have pictures of the finished patio and pretty new back yard. Papa Mac says the pictures are too small so mommy put them on here a little bigger this time. But if you click on the picture, it will come up even bigger.





I also asked mommy to show you pictures of me and my friends at day care. You'll see me playing with my friend Aiden. He's got cool toys that he lets me take from him pretty easily!

I've been really busy!

Once again, mommy can't decide which pictures to put up (because I'm so darn cute) so she's putting up a ton of them. The first one's are pictures of me and my blocks. I'm sitting up now, all by myself, without even falling over...much... I love to try and eat my blocks. I can reach for them, I can pick up two at a time, and I can even smile really big for mommy while doing all of this (I'm mastering multi-tasking early). Mommy and I spent a lot of time playing this afternoon while Daddy was fixing the hole in the house. Mommy says she'll write more on that later...something about rotting wood, house falling in, blah blah....good thing Daddy knows how to swing that hammer!!

On Easter, Mommy and Daddy took me to the Aquarium!!! I saw Sharks and StingRays and Puffer Fish and Sea Turtles and Spade Fish and lots of other kinds of Sea Creatures (mommy says I'm rambling and I used "and" too many times...but you get the point...I had fun!!!). There's a picture of me and Daddy getting eaten up by the Shark! Well, it's not a real shark, but the teeth sure were sharp!

Anyway, I hope everyone had a Happy Easter and is enjoying their week as much as I am!

Oh yeah, I almost forgot..... Mommy said to tell the family that the cards are addressed and have stamps on them and pictures inside, but they just haven't made it to the mail box yet...she said to please be patient, she's only one woman :)

Wow, what a fun day! Mommy took me to see the Easter Bunny! What a funny looking big guy! Then we went shopping and she bought me a bouncy thing with lots of toys on it for me to play with. When we got home, she put it together and we played in it for an hour!!! I got a little sick while I was in there...mommy says it's all mine now. She took a lot of pictures of me (I love the camera) and she couldn't decide which ones to put here, so she put all of them! I hope you enjoy them...I know I was having fun!

Oh yeah, mommy said to tell all my grandma's and grandpa's and aunts and uncles not to worry, she actually bought pictures of me and Easter Bunny, so look for your late picture in the mail (assuming she gets to the post office some time this month)!

Hi all! Mommy says she needs to borrow my blog for a bit. There have been a lot of people at our house this week and she wants to share what they're doing. I guess our house is really old so they're putting new windows and siding (whatever that is) on the house to make it look newer and really spiffy. The workers are really nice, they tickle my toes and talk to me. But mommy and daddy says they do more talking than they do working. Daddy could do what 5 of them do in 1 day, at least that's what mommy says. But it's starting to look really nice. Here are some pictures of our house after Daddy ripped off the old siding. Mommy will put pictures up after they're done with the new siding so you can see the difference. I think these pictures show also where Daddy has torn out our back deck and started digging a trench for a new wall. He's building an outdoor kitchen!!! I don't know what that is, but it sounds exciting! Stay tuned for updates!

Thank you Carter and Catie for my blocks!!! I can't figure out how to put them all in my mouth but I have figured out how to knock them all over the place! Mommy put me in this crazy little seat thingy (she says I'm supposed to eat here) and put the blocks in front of me...what took her so long? This is fun!!!

Well, we've been really busy the last few weeks. I caught a cold at school and was sick for a week. I had to stay home for 3 days. Here's a picture of me in mommy and daddy's bed. After I got over my cold, my top teeth started coming in. I haven't been able to sleep very well. But mommy and daddy have kept me good company.

This past weekend, I took my first plane ride to Florida! Mommy and Daddy said I did great. I slept and ate the whole way....I don't know what the big deal was. Mommy says it wasn't such a great vacation considering the weather wasn't very warm, she got my cold (really bad..103 temp) and Mr. Dale, mommy and daddy's friend, had streph throat and an even higher temperature. They both had to go to the hospital to get medicine. But me and Daddy spent lots of time together. I played in the exersaucer thingy that Miss Jenn borrowed for me. I also showed off my rolling over skills. And at bath time, I got to take a big boy bath and Lauren and Brett poured water over me! It was like sitting in a waterfall.... or so I would imagine, as I've never sat in a waterfall before.

Now we're back home and Daddy says he's going to buy me an aquarium. I really liked the one Brett had in his room. It calmed me down when I got upset. Mommy had to turn the light off at night so that I would go to sleep. I think they're hoping it will calm me down in my room at night....we'll see.

I'm beginning to realize that there are lots of things out there that I can grab!! Mommy's hair, daddy's cheeks, Chili Dog's ears : ) She really likes it when I do that. She licks my feet and I try to pet her. I can tell we're going to have a lot of fun together.

Mommy took me for my 6 month checkup the other day and the nurse stuck me with 4 needles!!! Then the doctor tried to give me a book to make up for it...but I'm on to him. Anyway, I weighed 17 lbs 14 oz and was 26 1/2 inches long. They say I'm right on target. The doctor laughed at me when I tried to grab his shiny metal thingy...he said I was very "aware." As Daddy would say, I just like shiny objects.
