Just an update

Hi everyone! Just a quick little update on how I'm doing... I'm really starting to move around. I don't like to sit still anymore. In fact, if I'm not crawling or cruising around the furniture, I'm not happy. There's a whole world out there to see! As you can see by the pictures mommy helped me attach, my first area of exploration each day is my room! It seems like I find something new every day. Then I go to daycare and play all day. Then at night, I come home and do something different every day! One day I got to play in the big sand pile out in the front yard (daddy is still working on the back deck). Then I played in a sprinkler...although I don't care for that too much. Sometimes I play in my kiddie pool, if mommy or daddy has time to clean it out...the raccoons spend a lot of nights in there. And some nights we just chill out in my room.

I have my first birthday coming up and I am so excited. Mommy and Daddy are throwing me a party and I get to eat cake! My friend Eli is coming to visit from Georgia and several other little people like me will be there. I hope I can hang!

The only bad thing going on lately is these darned teeth. Last night I hurt for 3 straight hours. It hurt so bad...the only thing that would stop my screaming is for daddy to feed me ice chips. They felt really good on my gums. But eventually we ran out of ice and boy did hurt again. I screamed and screamed. Mommy and daddy tried their usual things to help, but this pain was too much for orajel! Eventually, I got tired and went to sleep and this morning I felt really good. I hope those teeth hurry up and decide to come in because I can't take much more of this!!! Mommy says these are molars and I'm not the only one they're hurting!

Well, I hope everyone is doing good and you have all of your teeth already (I wouldn't wish that pain on anyone!)... Talk to you soon!

Summer Vacation(s)... Part 2

Well, mommy was quicker than she thought she'd be about posting these pictures. We went to Oklahoma and stayed at Lake Eufala in a cabin with the rest of daddy's family. I played a lot with my cousin Jamie, she's 3 and cousin Luke, he's 5 months old.

We got to play a lot in the lake... I really like the water (but I guess if you've been keeping up, you already know that). Jamie let me ride on her alligator!

I didn't let too many people hold me but occasionally, if they had food, I would give in. I ate all kinds of new things...mommy has been holding out on me. I had cheese toast and cinnamon toast. I had ice chips, which felt fabulous on my teeth!!! Let's see, I also found out that I love peaches and peanut butter and jelly (but not at the same time)!

Papa Mac was really funny. He taught me this cool game called "bonk." We bonk our foreheads together and laugh really loud. I tried to play it with mommy but forgot to tell her and nearly gave her a black eye! I felt kind of bad about that, but the game is still really fun.

Mommy said to let everyone know that I'm still a fairly good traveler. She said I wiggle a lot more now and climb all over the place, but I'm still not a screamer. She said it makes her and daddy very tired, but very happy.

Well, I think I'd better go take a nap now. I'll try to make sure mommy doesn't wait another month to write!

My summer vacation(s)...Part 1

Well, mommy said to tell everyone she's sorry that it's taken so long to update the blog, but believe me, we've been busy! That's why this post is in two parts....

Well, two of my daddy's high school friends came to visit, James and Gayla. James was taking a kite surfing class in the Outer Banks and stopped by here for a few days on his way back to Oklahoma.
Kai and Caden came over...they're twins and Gayla is their mommy. We had a lot of fun playing in my little pool. Mommy is having trouble getting the pictures uploaded, so she'll keep working on it...check back later and hopefully there will be pictures of us.

After that, my uncle Cary and aunt Caroline came up with my cousins Carter and Caitie! We had a blast. We spent one day at the beach and then just us guys went on base to look at the planes and ships and then we had a boy's lunch at the Blue Crab, my favorite resturant (or at least mommy likes to go there). Mommy and Aunt Caroline and Caitie went to do girl stuff like shopping and getting their toenails painted. I missed mommy but daddy says we had more fun and I wouldn't have liked to get my toes painted. Carter was a ton of fun... he played with me and my toys for a long time. Caitie was a lot of fun too...and she looked real pretty when she tried on mommy's old costumes.

Speaking of mommy, I've decided she's my best friend. I don't like to go anywhere without her and I hate it when she leaves my sight. What can I say? I have a cool mommy. Anyway, I make sure I let her and everyone else know what I think of it when she needs time alone. Why would she need time alone from little ole me? I don't get it... although she does look a little tired.

In between all of the company, mommy and daddy took me to the beach and daddy took my picture. Daddy is going to make some prints and mommy will mail them to the family soon. Mommy tried to put them right here, but she's having the same trouble as she had earlier with the pictures of Kai and Caden. We're sorry!

Some things I can do now.... pull up all by myself and cruise up and down the coffee table (makes mommy a nervous wreck - we have hard wood floors and a really hard coffee table, believe me, I know!), crawl on all fours instead of scooting, swim (well, sort of... I really like the ocean waves and daddy says I'll be a good diver with the way I jump into them), pull hair (no one seems to like that), and bite (they don't like that either, but gosh it feels good on my teeth)!

Stay tuned for Part 2 of my summer vacation...I just got back from a weeklong visit with Grandma and Papa Mac and all my aunts, uncles, and cousins! Mommy has to upload the pictures and then we'll write more!
