Very busy these days...

Well, as you can see, I've been very busy these days. I've been mastering my alphabet soup (mommy showed me some special stirring techniques) and I think it's almost perfect. I've been practicing because I'm going to show off with Papa at Thanksgiving!

In order to get the best ingredients, I had to make some phone calls. I've set up my office temporarily on Chili Dog's pillow by the window (every executive needs an office with a great view) until mommy and daddy buy me my own bean bag. I'm not sure what that is, but daddy says it has less hair than Chili's pillow and it's just as comfy.

Mommy is trying to teach me how to eat by myself with a spoon. I'm getting the hang of it, don't you think? I was eating my favorite foods...sweet potatoes and cottage cheese. My day care told mommy I hated cottage cheese...take a look at the pictures and you be the judge :). Mommy thinks I was just holding out for the cookies they would give me if I didn't eat my lunch! I'll never tell!

Well, mommy and daddy are going to look for some stuff for our new kitchen today (Daddy's already taken a hammer to the soffit on the wall...there's no turning back now) so I'm going to spend the afternoon with Miss Tamara. I haven't been there in a while but mommy says she has a new hermit crab that I can poke at. I can't wait.

I hope everyone has a good weekend!

Too busy to write

Sorry for such the short post... mommy interrupted a very important phone call to take this picture (I was on hold for Elmo!!).
She wanted Aunt Caroline to see that the outfit she made me for my birthday fits perfectly!

I hope everyone is having a great week! More pictures coming soon.

My first trip to the zoo!

Well my first trip to the zoo was really nice. I saw elephants, lions, tigers, giraffes and several other animals I can't remember. There was even a barnyard area where I could see all of the animals that I hear mommy and daddy imitate and I hear on my toys every day (daddy sounds just like a REAL cow! He doesn't just say "moo"...)

My favorite thing at the zoo were these strange fences. They're really neat. I like to hold on to them and bite them. Although, once mommy and daddy figured out what I was doing, they nipped that in the bud really quick.

After the zoo, I got to play on the playground and swing. I love swinging. Mommy says when I get old enough, I'll be real good at jumping out. She says I try already. When I decide I want to get out, I try to leap out. It's a good thing there's a chain and mommy and daddy to catch me...I forget how high up I am.

Not much else to tell. Mommy just wanted me to get these pictures out before Gigi called to ask mommy to fix her computer (because the new pictures aren't showing up).

Have a good weekend!

Fall is here!

Hi! Well, I'm officially in long pants! It's cold outside (according to mommy... I kind of like it)!

As usual, I've been very busy. Last weekend I spent my first night in a hotel. I played with mommy and daddy until 9:30 at night (I normally go to bed at 7:00. So this is REALLY late!). We went to a sail boat show in Annapolis. Mommy and daddy bundled me up like an eskimo and then they took turns going on big sail boats. Daddy says we were looking for our next home. Anyway, I had a lot of fun and according to everyone that passed by us, I was really cute! Mommy left the camera in the car so unfortunately, we don't have pictures.

But here I am the next day playing in the yard with my car. I love my car and it's really helped me learn to walk (and dance...it plays music). I am officially walking. I can go across the room and stop and squat and not fall down. I can even stand up without holding on to anything.

I've spent a lot of time with daddy lately and I'm really enjoying it. My Papa is here with Uncle Colby and us 4 men have been hanging out. I still love mommy, but daddy is getting to be a whole lot of fun.

Mommy said to tell everyone that I went to the doctor for my 12 month checkup and I am still growing fast!!! While I was screaming on the scale (it's what all the kids do), the nice nurse was weighing me and it turns out I weigh 25 lbs and I'm 31 inches tall. Dr. Fink says if I keep at this rate, I might be 6 feet tall!

Well, I gotta go to a crab pickin' in the back yard. Papa and uncle Colby are leaving really early in the morning so I want to go spend time with them... hugs and slobbers to everyone (I'm still teething).

Beach day...

Well mommy and daddy took me to Nags Head this weekend and I got to play on the beach all by myself. Mommy says there's a ton of cute pictures so not to spend too much time writing...just get to the good stuff.

Here's a picture of me after daddy covered me up with sand. I thought it was really funny. I tried to eat my way out, but eventually I had to crawl out.

Here's a few more of me playing in the sand. I couldn't wear my bathing suit for reasons I won't type here (mommy and daddy let my diaper go too long without changing and my bathing suit got really wet...) so I'm just wearing my winnie the pooh/nemo swimmy diaper.

Mommy thought daddy looked really handsome in this picture so she asked me to put it here to brag to everyone not only about how great and talented my daddy is but how good looking he is, too!

After a long day with mommy and daddy, I took advantage of the ride home and got a little shut eye.

Mommy and I posed on our back porch for daddy. Some of you always ask mommy how she gets me to smile in all of my pictures. If you look really closely, she has my leg in her hand...that's the secret...I'm REALLY ticklish!!!

Daddy took a picture of me playing in the new grass he laid down last week. It's much softer than the dirt and rocks that were there before.

Mommy still hasn't taken a picture of the full back deck. Mommy says it looks like something out of Southern Living. She thinks daddy should be featured on one of those home shows as the ultimate do it yourselfer, and then they should build her a new kitchen for free to give daddy a break. We'll see how that turns out...I wouldn't bet the farm on it, if you know what I mean.

I'll close with some very exciting news... I'm taking 10 or more steps now! My balance is really good and sometimes I can walk without falling down. Mommy bets that by the time my papa gets here (next week) that I will be walking really good. I don't want to let her down so I'm practicing all the time.

Oh yeah, and I'm still teething. Geesh...when do I get the whole set? I now have my front 4 teeth, my two bottom molars, and now two top back teeth (I'm not sure the proper name for those). Daddy says I'll be eating steak in no time!

I hope everyone has a good week. Look for more pictures after Papa Mac, Grandma Mac, and Uncle Colby's visit!
