I'm 15 months old now!

Hi everyone. We're about to leave for our Christmas vacation and mommy thought it would be nice to put some recent pictures out here of me playing and fill everyone in on how I'm doing. So here it goes...

I went to the doctor on Wednesday and got 4 shots!! Ouch!! I knew it was coming too...I saw that nurse come in with those needles and I decided to make her earn her money. She got me, but she had to work for it! After a lot more screaming and wiggling, they decided that I now weigh 26lbs, 10 oz and I am 33 in. long. The doctor says I look more like a 2 year old than a 15 month old (except my hair)!

I'm getting really good at feeding myself now. I can use a spoon and a fork and most of the time I can get the food actually in my mouth, or at least some portion of it. I also really like to feed mommy and daddy! My favorite foods are sweet potatoes, barbque baked beans, pizza, grilled cheese, peanut butter and jelly, Moe's tacos and quesadillas, veggie soup, oranges, mommy's cereal, goldfish, refried beans, and...oh yea...I still love Miss Cayce's cranberry salad!! I have trouble narrowing down my favorites right now, but you get the picture. I enjoy mealtime :)

I'm walking really good now. I like to climb into chairs and I love to rock. Someone left this rocking chair on our front porch. Grammie said she was sending me a rocking chair but this one came with no box, tag, or anything and mommy and daddy said it didn't fit the description Grammie gave. So whoever sent it... Thank you (but speak up!). I enjoyed rocking in it this morning. You'll note that I also like to pick out my own shoes. I'm not too fond of pants though... too much hassle.

I've found that the swiffer is fun, but nothing sweeps a floor like a good old fashioned broom! It's a little big for me now, but I'm getting the hang of it.

Another new game I play is surfing on my car! I like to watch daddy and mommy's faces when I do this! Look Mom, I'm only using one foot!!

This past weekend was so pretty outside. Mommy, daddy and I spent a good portion of it in our back yard. I learned to climb all over the place and I learned all about the bark on the trees (Mommy says they say "ouch" when I peel it off, but I didn't hear anything).

I also LOVE my dog. I like to give her treats, pet her, play with her paws, and throw her toys for her. Speaking of Chili dog. She had a friend, Sasha, come over the other night to play and she asked me if I would put their picture up here for everyone to see (she gets a little jealous so I thought I would oblige).

As a result of all of these fabulous skills I'm mastering, I am now spending almost all of my time at day care with the big kids in toddler room! They tell mommy I'm doing really good there. I get to practice eating at the big table with my fork and spoon every day!

Well, I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday. We'll post more pictures when we get back from Papa and Grandma's house!

Merry Christmas!

Finally...my Thanksgiving pictures!

Hi there. Well, mommy says to apologize for the delay in getting these pictures out. She is in the process of moving her office out of my room (it's about time)...but that means her computer was unplugged for a few days (ok, weeks). Better late than never...

She had taken quite a few pictures before we left for our thanksgiving vacation so I'm putting those out for you to see as well.

This is my favorite place. I love Chili dog... I like to share her pillow with her (I'm still waiting on that bean bag daddy promised).

Daddy says you're never too young to start earning your keep...

I made myself at home at Aunt Caroline and Uncle Cary's house. I love this rocking chair...gotta get me one.

Chillin' with my cousin Carter...

Gigi bought me a shark tent!!! It gobbled up everyone!! Poor Chili Dog even got swallowed!! My cousin Caitie eventually rescued everyone.

Carter and Caitie gave me a Nemo toy (I was attached the minute I walked through the door). I liked to play "hide Nemo in the hole" with Papa. He's just as goofy as mommy!

We played outside a lot too. Uncle Cary let me play with his golf balls and Carter and Caitie let me jump on their trampoline. I did have to take a few breaks and walk Chili Dog (Daddy cracking the wip...chores, chores, chores).

I hate it when I'm right in the middle of something good and mommy and daddy make me go inside. They said I was tired...what do they know?
Once I did go inside, Carter let me work on his computer (I had to keep in touch with everyone back home, you know?). Mommy said I type so fast it made the picture blurry!!

After a few days with Carter and Caitie, it was time to visit friends. We went to see my new friend Ally. Her mommy and my mommy have been friends since college. We had a really good time. We even took our bath together before bedtime. Miss Melanie has those pictures. If she shares them with mommy, I'll put them out here later. Here are some pictures of Ally and me playing...

After Ally's house, we went to see Miss Cayce and Uncle Mike (He's not my real uncle, but he likes it when I call him that). I had a lot of fun climbing stairs and eating Miss Cayce's delicious brunch (especially the cranberry salad), but all of the pictures are on Miss Cayce's camera so... you'll have to take my word for it... And finally, we went to see a lot of my family...aunt Jeannette, Uncle Tom, Cousin Sylvia and her family, Uncle George and his family...wow...I think I met the whole world that day!

All good things must come to an end...so we had to go home. Mommy and daddy said I was really good in the car on the way home. I played with Chili a lot. Mostly, we just chilled in the back seat. Although, I still haven't gotten a good explanation of why I have to be strapped in and Chili gets to lounge around on a pillow. It hardly seems fair.

Well, I hope you enjoyed looking at my pictures and reading about my trip. We have another big trip planned to Oklahoma for Christmas. This time on an airplane!! I haven't been on an airplane since I started walking. Mommy and daddy are real excited about it.

Take care and stay tuned!!!

Quick Update...

Mommy hasn't uploaded all of the pictures from Thanksgiving yet, but to show people their computers are still "working" she's uploading a picture that Daddy took of me and my cousins. Aren't we cute??? Look for a slew of pictures from my Thanksgiving vacation soon!!!

Happy Halloween!

Hi everyone. I hope everyone is doing well! Mommy has a bunch of pictures to share so I'm not going to talk too much. I didn't go trick or treating (mommy thought it was a bit much to carry me around and ask for candy seeing as I can't eat it and she doesn't need to...did I say that out loud? I'm a parrot...just repeating what she says) but Mommy and Daddy did take me to a fall festival to pick out some pumpkins. I had a really good time and it was a very pretty day. Here are some pictures.

I liked the big pumpkins best.

After I learned my way around the pumpkin patch, mommy and daddy let me put my costume on! I was a dinosaur...or a dragon...mommy got me confused because she kept calling me different things...oh well...anyway, I had a lot of fun. Here are more pictures.

After we got home, daddy showed me how to carve a big scary pumpkin while we watched mommy run around the yard kicking a ball...ok...I ran around with her, but she looked kind of funny. I couldn't let her do that all by herself. Anyway, daddy carves REALLY good pumpkins. Take a look!

Very busy these days...

Well, as you can see, I've been very busy these days. I've been mastering my alphabet soup (mommy showed me some special stirring techniques) and I think it's almost perfect. I've been practicing because I'm going to show off with Papa at Thanksgiving!

In order to get the best ingredients, I had to make some phone calls. I've set up my office temporarily on Chili Dog's pillow by the window (every executive needs an office with a great view) until mommy and daddy buy me my own bean bag. I'm not sure what that is, but daddy says it has less hair than Chili's pillow and it's just as comfy.

Mommy is trying to teach me how to eat by myself with a spoon. I'm getting the hang of it, don't you think? I was eating my favorite foods...sweet potatoes and cottage cheese. My day care told mommy I hated cottage cheese...take a look at the pictures and you be the judge :). Mommy thinks I was just holding out for the cookies they would give me if I didn't eat my lunch! I'll never tell!

Well, mommy and daddy are going to look for some stuff for our new kitchen today (Daddy's already taken a hammer to the soffit on the wall...there's no turning back now) so I'm going to spend the afternoon with Miss Tamara. I haven't been there in a while but mommy says she has a new hermit crab that I can poke at. I can't wait.

I hope everyone has a good weekend!
